I am presently working as a postdoc (Prof. Shankar Subramaniam's
lab) at University of California San Diego. My present work involves analysis of signaling pathways using Graph theory and bioinformatic application development in UCSD-Nature's the Signaling Gateway database.
I completed PhD (2003-2007) from University of Hyderabad,
India and during my PhD I worked with Prof. Chanchal K. Mitra. During Aug 2000 - Jan 2002, I was at Anna University,
studying and doing research for a Masters in Biotechnology (Identification of wolbachia bacteria in patients with bancroftian filariasis by
Wolbachia specific primers). At Anna, I was part of Prof R.B.Narayanan's research group. Before that, I was in University of Hyderabad for my MSc.
I also worked with Dr. Prasantha K. Panigrahi (Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, India) where we have used Wavelet transforms (Haar wavelets) to analyze genome sequences. My research interests are systems biological analysis of gene regulatory network using both computational and experimental approaches. Currently I am also interested in biological database design, development and integration.
