Presently I am in Prof. Shankar Subramaniam's lab as a postdoctoral Fellow at University of California San Diego. I completed PhD (2003-2007) from University of Hyderabad, India and during my PhD I worked with Prof. Chanchal K. Mitra and also collaborated with Dr. B.V.L.S.Prasad of Helix genomics, Hyderabad. My research interests are in different aspects of Bioinformatics and computational biology. I am mainly interested in biological database design. During Aug 2000 - Jan 2002, I was at Anna University, studying and doing research for a Masters in Biotechnology. At Anna, I was part of
Prof R.B.Narayanan's research group. Before that, I was in University of Hyderabad for my MSc. During my PhD, I visited France(2004), Ireland(2006) and USA(2007) to present my work in conferences. Feel free to explore the website, and do not hesitate to contact me with questions and/or comments at bioashok@flygenics.com.
