Presently I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California San Diego. I completed my Ph.D. in 2007 at the University of Hyderabad at Hyderabad, India. I worked under Prof. Chanchal. K. Mitra in the Biochemistry Department on Promoter sequence analysis using Mutual Information. Previously I worked in Shantha Biotech pvt Ltd, as a research associate in Monoclonal antibody division. In 2002 (January) I completed M.Tech (Biotechnology) from Anna University , Chennai, India. My M.Tech thesis advisor was Prof. R.B. Narayanan (related to experimental work). I also worked with Dr. Prasantha K. Panigrahi (Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, India) where we have used Wavelet transforms (Haar wavelets) to analyze genome sequences. My research interests are systems biological analysis of gene regulatory network using both computational and experimental approaches. Currently I am also interested in biological database design, development and integration.

Earlier, my research was in identification of wolbachia bacteria in patients with bancroftian filariasis by Wolbachia specific primers.
